Dangerous Dogs Act (DDA)

With the banning of XL Bullies taking effect from the 31 December 2023, we have been advised by our Insurance Company the following steps MUST be taken when hiring our field for all dogs listed on the DDA.  Whilst we appreciate that 99% of all dog owners care for and train their dogs, we are unfortunately bound by the new regulations :-
  1. The dog is registered with the index of exempted dog (IED) and a copy of the life certificate is obtained and provided to us in the event of a claim
  2. A copy of the public liability insurance certificate for the dog is obtained and provided to us in the event of a claim
  3. The dog handler ratio is 1:1 with their handler at all times
  4. The dog is neutered
  5. The dog is micro chipped
  6. The dog is muzzled at all times
  7. The dog is kept on a lead until the gate is shut when entering the field
  8. The dog is put back on a lead before opening the gate to leave the field
  9. There will be no sharing of bookings with dogs from any other households
We will be looking into confirmation regarding dogs living in multi-dog households attending together.  Please download our Risk Assessment for the use of our Dog Field which also contains a copy of the Rules and Regulations
